Safety Commitment

The leading thought in Sterling Crane USA’s daily operations is our commitment to safety.  It is our #1 core value to see that every person working for Sterling USA returns home safe at the end of each day. Sterling USA’s safe performance is indicated in safety records that are among the best in our industry

Leadership in Safety

Sterling USA strives continually to be an industry leader in delivering crane lifting solutions to our valued customers.  We work closely with our customers in helping develop safe practices and to deliver professional performance of our work on their sites.  Our company leadership is dedicated to promoting and exhibiting safe behaviors to demonstrate the importance of safety to all our staff.

Our customers know that working with Sterling USA on their projects assures that they are getting trained and competent crane lifting solution professionals to safely meet their needs.

Workforce Training Protocols

Sterling’s workforce is well trained and work toward our high expectations for safety performance in every aspect of their tasks. We are committed to the safety of our people, customers and surrounding communities.  As a company Safety is our leading core value, and as such, we do not compromise on safety and we expect that everyone on our team shares this commitment.

We have a thorough training program that, combined with onsite learning, ensures all our staff perform their tasks with safety as their top value. We are continuously looking for ways to improve the safety of our operations, and we empower every employee to feel safe in expressing concerns about safety in an operation and calling for a brief stop to voice their concerns.

Continuous Improvement

Sterling’s goal is to identify and manage our safety risks in our work tasks to prevent incidents occurring. We share Let’s Talk Safety Observations as a means to assure all crews throughout the organization have an opportunity to learn from  Near Misses.  If an incident does occur, we identify the underlying causes through investigation and learn how to prevent them from happening again.

In our efforts to improve our HSE performance we monitor all HSE related events. We have tools in place for our staff to report HSE events, such as unsafe situations, incidents and near misses. We also encourage ideas and solutions for improvement.

We promote and encourage all Sterling employees to be aware of the risks in their workplace and to report events or concerns when they arise. We implement regular initiatives to remind people of recognition and identification of hazards.  This is meant to instill the belief that we all have the responsibility to watch out for not only our own safety, but that of our co-workers.
