Sterling Crane USA Lifts Others: September Highlights

September 25, 2025

At Sterling Crane USA, we believe lifting heavy things is only part of what we do. Lifting people, communities, and opportunities matters just as much. That’s the heart behind Sterling Crane USA Lifts Others, our new community and volunteer initiative that’s already making an impact.

This September, our teams rolled up their sleeves in two very different, but equally rewarding ways.

In Pleasanton, our crew spent a day volunteering at the San Antonio Humane Society, learning about the shelter’s life-saving mission and giving its four-legged residents some much-needed playtime and care. Each year in the U.S., about 3.1 million dogs enter animal shelters. Of those, roughly 2 million find loving homes through adoption, leaving countless others still in need of care, compassion, and support.

The Sterling team had a great time exploring the shelter, learning about its operations, and opportunities to get involved!

Meanwhile, in Houston, our 55-ton boom truck turned heads at Barbers Hill Elementary School South’s Careers on Wheels event. Students swarmed the massive machine with curiosity, asking everything from how high it could lift to whether it could hoist elephants or bananas. (For the record, it can handle the bananas.) More importantly, the event gave us a chance to spark excitement about the future of the crane and construction industries, and the possibilities waiting for the next generation.

At Sterling Crane USA, we believe in supporting career exploration for the next generation of leaders. Our goal is to spark curiosity, empower students to see the possibilities within our industry, and help them discover a passion that could shape their future careers.

These efforts reflect Sterling Crane USA’s commitment to building up the communities where we work and live. Whether it’s supporting local organizations or inspiring tomorrow’s workforce, we’re proud to help lift more than just loads. We’re lifting people, too.

A huge thank-you to the San Antonio Humane Society and Barbers Hill ISD for welcoming our teams this month. With Sterling Crane USA Lifts Others, we look forward to many more opportunities to give back and strengthen the communities we call home.
