Sterling Crane USA was proud to join the City of Mont Belvieu for its 2026 811 Day & Touch-a-Truck event, bringing our team and equipment to the community for a day focused on safety, education, and family fun.
Despite the Texas sunshine, local families came out to explore a variety of vehicles and equipment while learning more about the industries that help build and support their community. For Sterling Crane USA, the event was an opportunity to introduce the next generation to the world of cranes and heavy lifting in an engaging, hands-on way.
Our team brought remote-control cranes, magnetic building blocks, crane-themed squishy toys, and coloring sheets to give young visitors plenty of opportunities to learn and play. Children also had the chance to climb into the cab of one of our cranes, experience what it is like to sit in the operator’s seat and even try on their own hardhat. Through these hands-on experiences their curiosity grows for the skilled trades & the crane industry.
Events like Touch-a-Truck are a great way to help children see the people, equipment, and skills behind the work happening in their communities: for many of them, they are connected to or know individuals in the industry or who have been in the industry. It is a great opportunity to show them what exactly their loved ones do for work, or to learn what is driving their community forward. For Sterling Crane USA, these events also provide an opportunity to reinforce the importance of safety awareness.

Their time, enthusiasm, and willingness to connect with local families helped make the event a memorable experience for everyone who stopped by.
